People may perceive Agile methodology and hard deadlines as two incompatible concepts. The word “Agile” is often associated with flexibility, adaptability, iterations, and continuous improvement, while “deadline” is mostly about fixed dates, finality, and time pressure. Although the latter may sound threatening, project teams can prioritize non-negotiable deadlines and simultaneously modify those that are flexible. The correct approach is the key.
In this article, we’ll analyze how deadlines are perceived within an Agile framework and what techniques can help successfully manage deadlines in Agile-driven projects.
